Hello! My name is Melissa and I am so excited you're here. I am a Family, Maternity, Newborn, and School photographer in the Arvada/Boulder/Golden and nearby areas.
I offer a special approach to school photography. My passion is creating photos that display the unique personality of each child. I wish to portray the authenticity of each parent's child, so they can preserve in their memories the uniqueness of their children. No matter their mood I work to capture their essence.

What is Authetic School Photography?
Authentic School Photography is my unique approach to capturing genuine expressions from your child so you can treasure their true essence from this time and age.
Authentic School Photography is a break away from the traditional photos you're familiar with at school. These are fine and great and nice to have, but in my opinion the unfortunate part is often times the personality of the kids get lost along the way and you wind up with fake smiles and expressions. Who wants that?
I offer a classic black background so the focus is solely on the child. I interact and play with the kids and strive to bring out the essence of who they really are. Whether or not they're shy and reserved or singing in the spotlight, I will not make the children be unauthentic versions of themselves. I don't force smiles. Parents will be excited to look back and treasure these unique professional photos of their sweet children.

What services do I offer?
- Everything is done completely online - no sending home papers to get lost.
- The families will receive a password protected gallery where they will find 2-5 images to choose from.
They may choose from a selection of boutique packages, including selecting the images they want, as opposed to being stuck with one pose or type of photo through the entire order. Digital copies are available, as well as prints of many sizes, including canvases.
- I provide a web link and matching detailed pdf (for the school to distribute) outlining information for parents on what to expect for picture day and the ordering process.
- All print photos are ordered online and delivered directly to the school.
- I provide all personnel and equipment for picture day.
- I provide the school with all of the high resolution photos for use in yearbooks, id cards, website, and anything else the school may need them for at no cost to you.
- I will handle all questions from families regarding ordering and product information.
- I also take staff photos and provide a complimentary print package for you as well.

Are your images expensive?
I have competitive pricing packages and offer an al la carte to fit everyone's needs. There is no money due up front.
Also, I will donate 10% of the profit to your school. It warms my heart to give back to my community, especially when it comes to education. I'm very happy to be able to offer this!

What time of year do you hold school photography sessions?
I offer shoots anytime throughout the school year and communicate with the school to see what works best for them. The beginning of the school year is always insane and I work with each school to schedule throughout the year, so things don't have to be so hectic!
