Why do I love photographing your family? Oh, let me count the ways!
There are quite a few reasons I enjoy photographing families. I feel it's important to share this with you, because you don't want to schedule a session and not know why your photographer cares about you in the first place.
I love being able to craft special memories for you.
Creating memories for you is one of my main goals and something I love to do. When my family was young we never wound up taking family photos. Honestly, part of it was not wanting pictures of myself taken. I felt awkward. Fast forward to having a family with somewhat older children, I deeply wish I would have done family photos. To have been able to look at the photos with an eye of appreciation and see the art being created with our family's connection would be incredible. I really want you to see how important it can be, and to avoid the same mistake I've made.
Meeting your unique family is a gift.
I love spending time with your family and getting to know you. I am deeply grateful that you're taking time out of what I'm sure is a busy schedule, to allow me to capture your one-of-a-kind family connection! I adore getting to share in your personalities and the things that you love, as well as what makes you special. :)

I really, really, really value having fun and light-hearted sessions. It's important to me that both you and your children actually have an enjoyable time together. For me, I believe it also creates a more genuine family connection in your photos when you actually enjoy doing a photo session. It doesn't have to be a boring or awkward portrait session, when the goal is to document what makes your family yours! Try to make it a special evening for your family as well, and perhaps go out for a treat afterward.
