What kind of photographer am I?
I am a Family and Newborn photographer.  I love capturing authentic personalities and connections within families. I enjoy seeing everyone interact with each other as if they aren’t on camera.  We’ll do the classic family shots, but otherwise you'll be looking at each other and when you look at the camera it will be because it happened naturally during your photo shoot.   
 
Where will my session be held?
Your session will be held outdoors in a beautiful location with ample natural lighting so as to take your best photographs.  I can suggest a few of my favorite places, or if you have any requests let me know, and together we’ll come up with the perfect location.
 
How long will my session be?
My sessions run around an hour.  I can get many amazing photos in that time frame, and you’ll be surprised how quickly the time flies!
 
What will my session be like?
Your session will be fun and enjoyable, while still being relaxed.  We'll have laughter and silliness and an all-around good time.  I'll  guide you through poses that promote interaction between families, so you'll know exactly what to do. 

We'll meet up and I'll introduce myself and chat as we walk to our location.  Generally we start with the traditional look-at-the-camera photos and then movie into family interaction.  We'll also move to a second area at our location for a variety of backgrounds and do the same look-at-the-camera and family interaction photos.
 
At the end if it's alright with the parents, I like to offer a little gift to the kid/s, such as a little trinket of some sort.   
 
What should I wear?
Be comfortable, be yourself!  Neutral colors or complimentary colors work well, and please no neon, graphic, t-shirts on children.

Will I get the digital photos from my session?
Yes.  I will hand pick the photos that best describe you (and/or family) and my style.  Usually this turns out to be a lot of photos!  There will be a minimum of 60 photographs color and b&w.  They will be downloadable in a secure online gallery.
Photos are ready within 2-3 weeks after your session.

How much does everything cost?
My pricing is all-inclusive. You pay one price for both the session and ALL of the edited digital files. Total cost is $395 for family sessions.  A $75 deposit is due when booking to secure your session date. 
 
Do you do mini-sessions?
I usually do one per year in the Fall.  Keep an eye out for emails offering this special!  Sign up below for my mailing list to receive first dibs on information and special offers.
 
When do I pay for my session?
I will send you an invoice for the remainder of the amount, with the deposit amount applied. The remainder will be due the week of the session, before the session begins.
