Good question! Why do photo shoots with me take more than a few minutes? What in the world do we do the entire time?
It's a matter of slowing down. Being in the moment.
You invested your time and trust in me to give you the best photos possible. To do that I like to let your family go at your own pace. I prefer relaxed sessions that avoid the stress and rush a shorter session brings. Moving in a laid back fashion allows for more authentic and connected photos of your family.
We play a lot during our time together! Play. Kids (and most adults) love it! Having worked with kids in one form or another since I was a teenager, (not to mention my own kids), I know things aren’t always smiles and bubble gum. When kids get grumpy, getting some various types of play can make a crazy huge difference in helping your child have a more enjoyable time. It can often be more effective than trying to cajole your child into fake smiling.

Photos! I like to give you a lot of photos. That’s just how I am. There are too many special moments or sweet facial expressions and I don’t want to give you only *my* favorites. I want to share with you the story of the experience your family had during our time together.
